What if we really are all doing the best we can with what we have?

What if the slacker in your team really is trying? Fucking it up, sure, but not intentionally, and not maliciously, just doing the best they can with their current knowledge, skill and motivation level.

What if your team mate who pisses you off with always going off plan or not meeting commitments... really is trying? What if, given all their own baggage and crap, this really is the best they can do in these circumstances?

...And what if YOU really are doing the best you can with what you have and what you know?

What would that mean?  Would you do anything differently?
